The Spa // Catch up!

Evening one and all! Pull up a seat, grab a beverage and prepare yourself for a text-wall of mediocre anecdotes and a very hit and miss attempt at injecting humour into my dull and dreary life.
Well it aint all that bad.

Today i've been working on a couple of little graphics for my bosses new show 'The Spa' which starts tonight at 9pm on Sky Living! I've already watched a couple of episodes and I personally guarantee that you will LOL, ROFL and LYFAO.

Now in a few of my recent posts I started to get very lazy, summarising what i've been doing with myself through a few decent pictures rather than words- which I imagine is very similar to being forced to watch your friends 'holiday slideshow' only worse. I'm not your friend and i've not been on holiday! But today, ladies and gentlemen, will be different. Different in the sense that i've been very lazy with the camera as well, and all my pictures seem to be shoddy, blurry messes. Well that about summarises my last few weeks anyway.

What have I been up to?
I've had a drink or two, because why not!

My favourite being this little gem of a cocktail (which I 'had to try', but luckily didn't have to pay for)

Can you see the fear in my eyes???
In a little trendy cocktail bar (of course, now I'm all 'soho' and 'media) which actually enforces a 'no ties allowed' rule- and due to my incessantly weak bladder forced me to enter into a room thereby admitting I am, in fact, a Bastard.

Here's another little gem from the menu, which fortunately I didn't try!

But of course my dear readers, drinking isn't all that I do. That would be a real problem. I also very occasionally gamble, and rarer still, walk out with 15x my investment!

Ahh, how happy I was before I realised that 2/3 of this is going to pay my rent

We had some very cold weather here in London, so to celebrate I decided to spend money on some awesome short sleeve tshirts from the very talented australian doodler Paul 'Doodlehead' Webster
You should definitely go and have a look, they're very unique and charming!

We can't all be micky :-(
Right. I'm off for a curry- make sure again you check out 'The Spa' at 9pm on Sky Living HD!

Postit #3

Chicken and Noodles for lunch!
Mmmmmmmm....

Old videos!

So much nostalgia, ladies and gentlemen!
I recently re-stumbled upon some old videos that I made before/during college some 3-4 years ago!
As much as they make me cringe they also bring back good memories so here they are for all to see, hope they make you smile!

Attack of the blobs!
Fresh out of my GCSE's we were given a summer project to do before college which was simply titled 'heaven and hell on the isle of man' (of course I left it until 2 or 3 days before)
We had to show these in front of all our new class mates and embarassingly I was the only one who made a film rather than photographs- it was a long 2 minutes but it went down well!
Shot on a crappy digital camera that kept running out of batteries and animated in flash.
Awful sound, shoddy animation and terrible slow-mo stunts but it still makes me chuckle!

Best Friends Forever
Probably my favourite- we were given 39 camera techniques to use, I think i used 38 in the end. Absolute nonsense, but it made people laugh.

How to be a Man
My tutors hated this.. and I understand why, really. The brief was an 'instructional or how to video', so mine didn't really sit in well with all the 'how to maintain your guitar' and 'how to bake a cake' videos.
Basically unscripted and unplanned, very hit and miss, but it had a small cult following.. cough

Watermelon Man
We were given songs and asked to film something. Filmed with only one watermelon head, would you believe! Very slow going (and not that exciting!)

I've got a feeling that these will be more interesting for me rather than anyone else who reads this blog (but then I have a very strong feeling not noone reads this blog!)

You haven't been forgotten!

Having just spent the past few hours copying, pasting, re-dating and then filling out captchas for my bosses new blog I thought that it would probably be a good time to update my own before it disappears into the dust of ages, or cyberspace, the matrix, whereever forgotten sites go! (Although I did see the 'space jam' website the other day, that seems in pretty good nick, doesn't it? Still looks better than myspace)

So how have I been attacking the new year? I haven't done alot, really- i've put on a bit of weight (probably owed to sleeping at normal times and eating regularly- whoever said crash diets dont work should really work a few months in a busy central london bar.. and stop being such a smug genetically gifted cunt!)

I've gone all 'Apple', after years of aggresively arguing that it's all overpriced shit, I immediately sold out almost as soon as I could finally afford to and I have to say i'm very happy about it! They're just easy, and pretty, who doesn't like that? Although I don't like being judged by technology.. it was a triple letter score after all..

'I don't like being judged by technology.. it was a triple letter score after all..'

My new phone, it even has a calculator!

Complete with an excessively massive screen, the only downside is that you cant really enjoy standard definition porn anymore
I'm still going to the gym on occasion but not as much as I'd like- but i'm too tired to try and be funny or interesting.. It'd be a waste of time to carry on.. i'll get exciting soon- promise! An unofficial resolution is to try and use this blog a bit more for things other than apologising for not blogging enough- so do come back!

In the meantime you should all set your T.V guides, or planners or whatever your tv does now to catch the new Sky living show, 'The Spa' which is beginning on the 7th of feb!!
I've seen it already and it did make me ROFL and LMAO!- maybe you'll LOL too.

The Spa which begins on Sky Living (109 on virgin) 7th of feb!

G'night!
